Recycling
Materials banned from disposal in the trash (Must be Recycled):

Large appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers, and dryers.

Glass, metal, and plastic containers (bottles, cans, jars, jugs, and tubs).

Paper, paperboard, newspaper, and cardboard.

Leaves, grass, and brush.
-
CRTs; Cathode ray tubes (older televisions and computer monitors).

Vehicle batteries: Car, Lawn mower, Motorcycle, boat ETC.

Construction materials include asphalt pavement, brick, concrete, metal, wood, and clean gypsum wallboard.

Mattresses, effective Nov. 1, 2022.

Textiles, effective Nov. 1, 2022.

Food material (from businesses and institutions that dispose of ½ ton or more per week), effective Nov. 1, 2022.

Glass, metal, and plastic containers (bottles, cans, jars, jugs, and tubs) can go in the container marked Bottles & Cans in the residential area.

Paper, paperboard, newspaper, and cardboard go in the container for OCC, cardboard, and mixed paper located in the residential area.
Use Planet Aid bins at the entrance to Valley Recycling for the following items:
"Textiles" are any (even very worn, torn, missing buttons, and broken zippers) clean and dry clothing, footwear, bedding, towels, curtains, fabric, and similar items
No items contaminated with mold, bodily fluids, insects, oil, or hazardous substances.

"Hard Cover Books" any hardcover books can be placed in the book bins at the entrance to Valley Recycling.
